[GeoNode-devel] geocode 2.6 / geoserver 2.9 / GWC GUI seeding error

Hi,

on a fresh geonode 2.6 installation (Ubuntu 16.04, installed by apt) I´m trying to use the
GWC GUI for seeding a layer. Doing so fails with an error message:

Unknown or malformed request. Please try again, somtimes the form is not properly received. This frequently happens on the first POST after a restart. The POST was to /geoserver/gwc/rest/seed/geonode:testlayer
Same behavior was reported here by Annalisa and Simone:

Looking at geonode 2.7 + geoserver 2.12 this error seem to be fixed.
My guess is  that this issue could be connected to this commit:

But before doing further investigation I´d like to ask if somebody knows
more about it.
