[GeoNode-devel] GeoNODE-Project Docker Server Hard Disc Space

You can use docker container prune, if you just want to remove stopped containers without removing volumes. My suggestion is to have a backup system for your volumes (or bind mounts) so you feel more relaxed when removing unused stuff 😉

Hi Francesco,

Thank you very much for you reply. I am still Docker beginner. Reading on the internet the command would be <docker system prune>, but I am worried about wiping out all docker images. Would recommend me a docker command to remove the stopped containers?

Kind regards

Have you tried to remove stopped containers? The default GeoNode Docker setup can produce a lot of dead containers when starting up (this issue has been fixed in SPC GeoNode).

Subject: [GeoNode-devel] GeoNODE-Project Docker Server Hard Disc Space

Dear all,

I have been running GeoNode-Project installed via Docker on an Ubuntu at 18.04LTS<mailto:Ubuntu at 18.04LTS> and lately my server hard disc is getting full, running out of space. I see that docker device mapper and containers are using a lot of space. Would this hard disc issue be caused by any log file? Is there any action that you would recommend in order to get some more free space in the server? I have only 16 layers and 3 maps in GeoNode. Find bellow some information about docker devicemapper amd containers:
