Hello,

In addition to writing your django app and integrate it with geonode
you can also use cartoview, it is an app market for geonode

you can write your app as a cartoview app, cartoview will manage the
upgrade, install, suspension of the app and so on. you can write your app
to run locally with cartoview or submit it to the app market
Just install geonode then install cartoview and all the apps in the market
will be available to you

follow the documentation at the market cartoview.org to develop your own app
