[GeoNode-users] about geonode harvesting (mutil geoserver)

Hi,

I'm using two geoserver too in the same server. I just renamed the geoserver from geonode in geoserver2 and modified the local_setting accordingly. Then as Simone said you can add the other geoserver as external services, and you have its layer available for creating maps.

Eugenio

Hi, the geonode's geoserver is one, this because that geoserver has a specific permissions and security system.

I geonode 2.4 and 2.6 you can use the "services"(you can find it on top right in your user's tab) app of Geoode to pair a remote OGC catalogue(i.e a remote geoserver) in your geonode.

I am studying GEONODE for my testing and It helps so much more than we imagined.
I think this is really useful solution so I am interested in learning more about your service.
By the way, I read 'python manage.py updatelayers' of [Management Commands for GeoNode] which is linked with this:
http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/admin/admin_mgmt_commands/index.html#admin-mgmt-commands
and I was wondering if there is any method to add another geoserver for search layers.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you.
