[GeoNode-users] Can't load layers on Geonode without loggin to Geoserver

Hello,
recently some work has been done both on master and 2.8.x branches in order
to overcome this issue.
Now the generation of the thumbnail does not rely on a WMS GetMap request
anymore but dumps an image locally.

You should try, if possible, to update your code and align to the latest
commits.
