[GeoNode-users] Message Users under Profile- usernames are not listed for receivers

Dear all,
I am working with Geonode 2.6.3. In “Create Message” section (Profile -> Message User), receivers dropdown menu (under “To” label) does not show any registered user name other than myself and a “--------". Does anyone know how to populate the list with all users’ name?

I also noticed that after trying to send a message to nobody (by selecting “------” as a user), geonode shows an error message and the list of users are populated!
