[GeoNode-users] Cannot view uploaded layers

Hi Alessio,

you're right: after uploading layers, no GeoFence data rules were automatically added, hence the access is denied because only the default DENY rule is present. Unfortunately, if I manually add a rule to allow access to a layer (all roles + all users + all services + all requests + geonode workspace + selected layer + priority=0), nothing changes and I'm still unable to visualize the layer from GeoNode.

I realised that I forgot to change the "Active role service" property in Security => Settings in GeoServer; if I set "geonode REST role service" I'm unable to upload layers though, as I get a 403 error from Tomcat.

I'm not sure what can be wrong; I followed all steps in this guide: http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/admin/geoserver_geonode_security/
The only thing is different is that I don't have the geonodeAuthProvider created among Authentication Providers and I don't know how I'm supposed to add it.

Please double check GeoFence rules actually exist on GeoServer.

Hi Stefano,

That error could be due to oauth misconfiguration and Geoserver is hiding the layer.

Hi,
I've got this issue with layers: after uploading, which seems to be ok, I cannot view anything on Geonode website. More specifically, tiles are loaded but they not include anything of the layer, as WMS calls return errors like below.

This is what I spot from the GeoServer log:
2018-01-08 15:41:46,328 ERROR [geoserver.ows] -
org.geoserver.platform.ServiceException: Could not find layer geonode:afg_aal

This is what I spot from Apache error log:
[Mon Jan 08 17:01:31.588608 2018] [wsgi:error] [pid 1387:tid 140510650439424] Possible error with OWSLib. Turning all available properties to string

I'm trying with both raster and shape files; all files are correctly uploaded and I'm able to see them via Layer Preview from GeoServer side.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04, Geonode 2.7, Geoserver 2.12-SNAPSHOT.

Thank you very much,

Stefano
