[GeoNode-users] First PSC meeting and outcomes

Dear lists,
just wanted to inform you that the first PSC meeting has been done
the  27/07/2018

We are reviewing the minutes which will be shared with the community ASAP.

Among the most important points we have discussed:

1. GeoNode Releases; we plan to ship them during the FOSS4G 2018 @Dar Er
Salam at the end of August. More details on release packages will follow

2. GeoNode Versioning and Issue Management: as soon as possible the PSC
will draw a GNIP focusing on:
 - GeoNode versioning; minor vs. major versions and enumerations
 - GeoNode Issue/PR policies and GitHub Labeling; rules on how to create
issues on GitHub and acceptance criteria of the PRs

3. GeoNode Security; with the valuable contribution of Oliver Dalang, we
would like to enforce the GeoNode security during the deployments and
installation processes by allowing users to:
 - Being able to enable HTTPS w/ Let's Encrypt certs
 - Improved GeoServer security for a production ready deployment

4. Continuous Integration testing; we are inspecting methods to enable CI
for Docker containers too.
