With virtualenv you can keep packages of your project isolated. Hence you do not
spoil packages all over your system. It´s easy to use. You´ll find a lot of tutorials
like https://www.dabapps.com/blog/introduction-to-pip-and-virtualenv-python/
which explaining the usage.

Not at all. Docker is a container service which you can use to run a GN instance.
Ansible is an ochestration software. Some nice person wrote „playbooks“ (~scripts)
to automaticully setup geonode. But it´s outdated as far as I know. So don´t
get confused. These are different setups. Start with the readme as Alessio suggested
and also have a look here: https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode#install

sure. This is where geonode project comes into play. You can make customisazation
without touching the core.
