[GeoNode-users] Theming Geonode for production

Folks,
I would like to customize a Geonode instance with a boothswatch theme. Is
this advisable? Is there a tutorial/thread/help available?

I've used the ppa:geonode/stable repository and am running it on a
dedicated Ubuntu 16.04 machine.
There is an empty template folder in the /etc/geonode/ folder.

I've looked at the  "Theming your Geonode Project
<http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/admin/customize_lookfeel/customize/theme_admin.html#theme-admin>"
documentation, but it specifically states it's not applicable for
production mode.

Any help would be appreciated.
