[GeoNode-users] How to Install The Last Version of GeoNode on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 16.04 without errors: a simple guide/tutorial

Dear GeoNode Professionals, 

I'm working for a scientific public body and we'd like to public spatial
data using geonode.

I'm trying to install GeoNode on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 16.04.
I followed all the tutorials on  www.geonode.org site and also some
video tutorials.
I have tried at least 7 installations without success (GeoNode (v2.10)
on Docker [1] , GeoNode (v2.10) installation on Ubuntu 16.04 [2] ,
http://docs.geonode.org/en/latest/tutorials/install_and_admin/quick_install.html#quick-installation
)  

1. The Quick Start Intallation on http://geonode.org/#install
did not work (Tomcat8 is Outdated)
 2. Similarly the documentation on
http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/install_and_admin/geonode_install/index.html
does not seem updated to the latest versions of the packages (eg Oracle
Java..) 

The link inside the command  (of this tutorial
http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/install_and_admin/geonode_install/install_geonode_application.html
) 

is broken: 

django-admin.py startproject --template = HTTPS:
//GITHUB.COM/GEONODE/GEONODE-PROJECT/ARCHIVE/2.8.0.ZIP -e py, rst, json,
yml my_geonode 

3. Even testing the installation with docker .. I could not get a
working installation of GeoNode. This is frustrating.. 

I KINDLY ASK THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS EXCELLENT PRODUCT WHICH GUIDE /
tutorial / book IS AVAILABLE To perform a COMPLETE AND WORKING
INSTALLATION (with updated packages to date) of the LAST VERSION OF
GEONODE ON UBUNTU 16.04 without errors.

Sto cercando di installare GeoNode su una fresh installation di Ubuntu
16.04.
Ho seguito tutti i tutorials presenti sul sito www.geonode.org ed anche
alcuni video tutorials.
Ho provato almeno 7 installazioni senza successo.

1. Anche la Quick Start Intallation su http://geonode.org/#install 
non ha funzionato (Tomcat8 è Outdated )
2. Analogamente la documentazione su 
http://docs.geonode.org/en/master/tutorials/install_and_admin/geonode_install/index.html
non pare aggiornata alle ultime versioni dei pacchetti (es. Java..) 

Il link presente nel successivo comando (di questo tutorial

) 

non è disponibile:

3. Anche testando l'installazione con docker.. non sono riuscito a
giungere ad una installazione funzionante di GeoNode. 

Chiedo cortesemente agli sviluppatori di questo eccellente prodotto
quale guida/tutorial/libro sia disponibile per eseguire una
installazione completa e funzionante (con pacchetti aggiornati ad oggi)
dell'ultima versione di GeoNode su Ubuntu 16.04 senza incorrere in
errori.
