[GeoNode-users] Problem in uploading layers : unable to create geofence rules

Hello Amedeo,
if this instance worked before, it might be an issue with the GeoFence
rules that are somehow messed up or the db corrupted.

You can try to add a rule manually or remove some directly from the
GeoServer interface and see what happens.

If you just need a "Public For Everyone" instance, the quick-and-dirty
solution is to delete all the GeoFence rules and add just one rule "ALLOW
ALL ANYONE" from the GeoServer admin panel.

If this is not the case, I guess I will need some more information and logs
in order to understand what's going on.

2.8.2 is quite old and it is possible that there's some issue concerning
the logic for the GeoFence rules management.

Question: why using 2.8.2? Would you consider to update to 2.10.1? Notice
that upgrading GeoServer is as easy as changing the docker-compose image
name.

*WARNING*: Do not mix GeoNode versions and GeoServer versions. It is*
**very** *important that each GeoNode version is bounded with the correct
GeoServer version.
