[GeoNode-users] Set layer visibility to registered users

Dear all,

I am currently setting up a Geonode and would like to set the visibility of several layers according to the user being registered or not. This means some layers shall be visible only to registered users, while some shall be visible for all users.

What is the best way to set this up?

I found this setting http://docs.geonode.org/en/2.10.x/basic/settings/index.html#auto-assign-registered-members-to-registered-members-group-name , but are not sure, if this is what I need? Do I then have to create a "Registered Users" group via the Django Admin GUI?

Or shall I create a "Group Profile" via the Django Admin GUI and set all layers, that should be visible after registration to this group? But then, how would I enable all newly registered users to automatically belong to this group?


Seems like a very simple thing  I would need, but somehow I don't understand the preferred Geonode logic to get there. Any help is greatly appreciated
