 The ctest issue was because I didn't have cmake bin folder in my search
 path. I was using an alias for cmake to run.  After adding to my path --
 yeh complete success.

  I'll attach a patch once I've cleaned up the junk I shouldn't have put
 in. n test wt my curent mingw64.  This is using mingw64 gcc 4.8
 x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc-4.8.0-win64_rubenvb.7z from

 http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Personal%20Builds/rubenvb/gcc-4.8-release/

 I still need to test with win32 also.
