There was is bug in v.to.rast that causes it to fail to convert islands properly in latitude-longitude databases. The fix is on the ftp site (moon). The "fix" is to a library file (src/libes/gis/area_poly1). Get this file, gmake src/libes/gis, then rebuild v.to.rast. Michael
