Patching files

Thanks to all who helped with my 'patching' problem - I've tried patching 
together a couple of aspect maps from 'r.watershed' and certainly works.

Problem is  (isn't there always a problem!) that I noticed when drawing 
the original two data sets, which had a little overlap, that the value in 
what looks to be the edge cell of each set appears to be in some cases 
different ??

Can anyone explain why and suggest a way to correct the problem ?
