All of those examples are correct as far as I can tell - be very
careful about "fixing" things to only make them worse. In short,
if you are looking for a row or column given a X,Y, you usually
don't need to add a 0.5 because integer truncation takes care of it
but if you are looking for an X,Y given a col,row, then you
probably need to use the 0.5. It's very well defined in the
programmers manual and you can be sure that d.what.rast and the
other older programs from 4.1 and before are correct.
