Hi all,
I agree that the entry field for location and mapset may be longer
than 14 characters. However, I don't know if it is a dangerous
change.
Generally we have to re-check *all* modules when migrating them
to 5.1 for string length. At time the buffer length differ from
module to module. We need some rules for it. I have started such
a list here (needed for PHASE1 - Milestone 3):
grass51/doc/migration_50_51.txt
Probably you need to check out grass51/:
cvs -z3 co grass51
Feel free to add more useful rules!
