Hi Samizdatt,
the ./testgrass.sh is only intented to test GRASS on a system level.
You may want to use
Spearfish sample data,
have a look at:
http://grass.itc.it/data.html
GRASS 5.x: SPEARFISH dataset (9.6MB size)
