Subject: s.in.ascii man page says site file delimiter is user controlled
Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Mirror of Trento site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: GRASS 5.0.0pre1 (May 2001)
the s.in.ascii man page says
GRASS 5.0 internal sites format in sites_list/
If the user wants to directly generate site files, the
following information can be used:
Each line of the ascii input file should contain either
two or three coordinates (x,y and optionally z) separated
by a user-selectable field-delimiting character. After
the coordinates there are optional attribute fields sepa
rated from the coordinates and from each other with the
same user-selectable field delimiter.
****Is it really "user-selectable"?
Not according to man sites.format.
It is a "|" [which makes things tough for big5 chinese]
