Dear GRASS developer,
the GRASS newsletter aims at releasing vol. 1 in June. Articles and help are
needed. Possible topics are:
- getting off the ground with GRASS - articles targeting GRASS novices
- presentation of GRASS capabilities e.g. modelling, animation, spatial
statistics
- presentation/description of new/noteworth GRASS modules (rather technical)
- Programmer niche e.g. "how to become a GRASS developer -- step 1"
- forthcoming GRASS capabilities e.g. new functions in 5.7
- sum up of GRASS development, discussions
- new GRASS related publications - in which journal & abstract
- Interviews, misc.
- upcoming events, news & news about past meetings etc.
of particular interest for you might be the "developers corner/niche", sum up
of past developer-ML discussions, new functions of GRASS 5.x etc.
articles should be written in Latex (please see below), fancy images are
highly welcome and should be in the eps format.
Help for editing the GRASS develop. sections would be greatly appreciated!
help for setting up a web page with submitting instructions plus submitting
form
native speaker needed, to look through articles for typo/grammer mistakes etc.
best regards, Martin Wegmann
