Disregard.  I was looking at some quite old ASTER data that I had
converted to radiance at sensor and normalized to 0-999 for some
arbitrary reason that now escapes me.  I was looking at category values
(labels), not category count.  I had to go back and look at the history
file to remember what I was working with. :-)
