 please try the DebianGIS build instructions at
 https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/browser/grass/trunk/debian/README.debian


 perhaps no one has tried running 'make install' for grass7 before? (I
 imagine most devs just run it out of the dist.x86*/ dir directly)
