[GRASS-dev] Error in GRASS GUI startup

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for your speedy response!

I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit. I used the stand-alone installer for GRASS 7.8, because I was having trouble with the OSGeo4W package. I got 7.8 because it was the newest stable version. I downloaded 7.8.2, again since it was the newest version.

I'll try deleting the grass directory. In the meantime, if there is any other advice to be offered, please send it my way! I really appreciate all this.

Also a precise version of GRASS GIS (7.8.1 or 7.8.2).
There where some start-up related issues fixed in 7.8.2 (see 1, 2 & 3).

One thing you can try out is to completely delete ~/.grass7 directory.
