In regards to the descriptions for printing sites.  As far as I know, you
have no control over the size or position of the description if you use
the this option under the "sites" instruction in p.map.  If you don't like 
the output, you should not use this option and instead, use the "text" or
"labels" instructions and create your own labels -- with these instructions,
you can determine exact size, placement, color, etc.  Obviously, this will
take a lot more time, but they will be readable.
