paint driver for the xerox 4020

We received a new (contributed) paint driver for the xerox 4020.
The contributors would appreciate feedback on its usefulness.  We
do not have the hardware in-house to be able to test this code,
but the software has been on the GRASS ftp site for a while.
(Currently under grass4.0/updates/src/paint).  

Has anyone taken a copy of this from the ftp site and used it?  If
so, can you provide some comments on its completeness or bug-free
status, please?
