MAPGEN & GRASS4.1

O.K., I'm confused (easily done these days).

First I report errors in running MAPGEN4 as released with GRASS4.1, and I'm
told it doesn't work.  Then I see that others are reporting it compiled
(and I assume working) for exotic platforms (i.e. the MAC, etc.).  Any
DEFINITIVE info on MAPGEN4 would be appreciated.  IS MAPGEN4 running for most of
you, and it's just me having problems due to Solaris2.2 and GRASS4.1, or 
is it NOT working?  Replies to me at my email address would be appreciated so 
we don't flood the list with this.  Thanks!
