Hi,
    This could mean several things.  But very likely, you may have some bad files
or collapsed file system.  There are a few options with the fsck command.  I 
would suggest to read the fsck section in the manual carefully first.  Then if
you don't feel comfortable trying things, you can ask a Unix system administrator
nearby.  I had a similar problem with a Sun station several years ago.  But 
that one turned out to be a hard drive problem.
