I've successfully used the commercial package IslandDraw to annotate ps.map
output. I read the ps.map generated eps into IslandDraw, annotate
and print directly from IslandDraw on a HP XL300 using postscript. It all
happens in SunOS though, so if you have to use DOS, this might not be a
solution for you.
I don't know what the package costs. Perhaps someone from Island Graphics
is reading and can provide info for you, or I can dig up if you need.
