hi Salah,

about your first question on the use of GRASS to model forest fires
here is a citation yu shuold check out. it involves the mapping of the
output of the BEHAVE fire spread model in GRASS using a two step process.

   wildfire spread simulation. Proceedings 12th Conference on Fire and Forest
   Meterology. Jekyll Island, GA.

the proceedings may have some more information, and this particular paper is
a good start.
