STATRT GRASS in Linux? help!

Hi everyone:

        I get some problems when starting GRSS4.1 under LINUX, and need 
your help. 

        I installed a copy of LINUX with kernel 1.2 on my PC.  GMT and 
Ghostview and other programs works very well with my LINUX.

        Days ago, I installed GRASS4.1 (linux versiton, binary), everything 
seems go well.  However, I simply could not start GRASS4.1.  When I tried to 
start it, the following message appeared on the screen:

#grass4.1
"xterm": unknown terminal type. 
could not open terminfo file /usr/lib/terminfo/x/xterm.
the terminal you are using is not defined.
#

        Does anyone have such experences? What should I do next? Any 
advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks
