converting .SIT grass vector files

Kevin,

The problem is with the software.  Files with extension .SIT are GIS site files.
When you select output option for GRASS vector format, output is actually a 
site file.  To over come this problem, select the option below GRASS vector
format (i.e., Gridpoint EPPl7). This will give you an output file with extension.VEC, a vector file.  Seems unbelieveable that commercial software costing
as much as it does would have such a major bug, but it does.  I am not sure if
this problem has been fixed in subsequent releases.  Hope this solves your 
problem.
