input a file to m.datum.shift ?

The program m.datum.shift appears to accept input of coordinates one set at
a time, either manually or in a command line.  How can a get it to process
a file of several hundred coordinates all at once.  Also, what would be the
correct formatting for the input file.  Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
