ps.map with Solaris 2.4

I am having problems with ps.map and Solaris 2.4, the program core dumps as
seen below:

ps.map input=ps.test output=ps.test.out

PS-PAINT: PostScript painter "hpa" selected.
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)


I used the binary version of grass from the ftp site and also
tried a version I compiled under Sol 2.4 on site.

Has anyone else had this problem ?
