d.mon under SOLARIS2.5

HI world,

GRASS4.1 binaries  for SUN Solaris 2.5 from /outgoing work fine. But
d.mon answers with: "Usage: d.mon (This command must be run interactively)
hit RETURN -> "

Does anyone know  how to fix that problem?
