About ps.map

Hi all,
Anyone has tried using the hcolor (highlight color) and hwidth
(highlight width) options while printing vector maps using
ps.map. These options don't seem to work on my
Linux installation of GRASS4.2.1. I tried recompiling as
per the instructions on Markus Neteler's page but the
problem remains.
Any suggestions about how to get these options
working.

My sample ps.map.script file is as follows
