<r.thin>

The convergence problem has been solved. (the number
of removed points stopped converging to 0 aroung 35800 points)

<Solution:>
The REGION was not specified. When I set it to the raster
file to process r.thin ran perfectly. Good to know!

<v.trim>
I downloaded the grass sources and added the v.trim
(from CVS) into the suitable /src/mapdev or what) directory.

I translated grass successfully. But what to do, how to
translate also the experimental v.trim? (I know
it is buggy.... no problem.... I would like to check it only)

when I type make v.trim it says there is no rule for that.

How to add the rule?

The Gmake5 or Gmake5.0 mentioned in several documentations
is not created nor can be found in the distribution.

However I'm a programmer, I'm NOT a C developer, especially
not in the GCC world - I only understand it generally
and I know basically about make, translating, linking,
etc. I'm not rellay experienced in configure
or make scripts.

Is there any other solution to drop out lines shorter than n meters?
(After the vectiorization of the thinned file there are small,
unnecessary lines (or "points") what I would like to clear
automatically, not manually (a few thousand, 10000 or so :)

thanks

Robert
