[GRASSLIST:4068] ArcInfo Ungenerate for GRASS?

Dear GRASSlist, 

I would like to import ArcInfo vector coverages into GRASS/PostgreSQL 
using v.in.arc.pg. Does anybody has experiences exporting 
data properly for GRASS. The ungenerate command only exports topology
without
attribute table.

I finally used v.in.shape.pg successfully, but I read it is still 
the old "unreliable" v.in.shape used in this modul. 
I am courious how the procedure for the ungenerate format from ArcInfo 
to GRASS would be.

Maybe someone can give some hints even if it is not a real GRASS
problem.
