[GRASSLIST:3935] using cats after m.in.e00 import

Dear list,

I have imported a .e00 raster grid with several categories (VAT= value 
atribute table). The categories are now in the /mapset/cats/ directory. 
But when I try to display the raster file the categories do not show up.

I have run already "r.support raster_map" after I did "cp 
raster_map.category raster_map" in  /mapset/cats/. But nothing changed 
after that.

It seems to me that only the grid is imported and I cannot work with the 
category files. How can access these cats?
