I tried to write in /*/grasslinks/prog/reporter as follows.

HOME=/home/grass/grasslinks

But there is still a messeage in Apache error log.  

sh: line 1: cd: HOME not set
WARNING: can't read range file for [landuse in PERMANENT]
ERROR: r.stats: can't read range for [landuse]

1) When does "r.stats" demand variable "HOME"? 
  
2) Where do I write variable "HOME" to let "r.stats" work?

Please give me  suggestion.
