No way, I just noted that importing the map the process seems to stop at message:

"SETTING GREY COLOR TABLE FOR map.blue"

indeed no progress bar appears unlike for map.red and map.green...

I'm using gdal ver. 1.2.5, maybe some incopatibility with this particular version of gdal?
