The size of export file is OK for me.
Example:
original file1.e00 (65 MB)

with avcimport I have:
file1 (folder size about 30 MB with many layers inside)
info (folder size about 0.1 MB)

Is ogr the problem?

This file would be an Arc/Info coverage with layers and data but if I
use ogrinfo I have:
Unable to open datasource

Who can help us?
