Thanks, Stephan,

But now, when I r.proj the raster, I get the message that it doesn't fit the
region, or something like that.  To fix this, I select the 'Dont crop...'
button.  The projection is done, but when I want to display the raster, I get a
blank window.  I also tried to set the region to the raster map, but this didn't
help.

Any other ideas will be appreciated.
