Folks,

I would add that after years of struggling against packages that don't
support pixel interleaved TIFF files, I have finally given in and changed
GDAL to produce those by default.  Also, new versions of ArcGIS should support
pixel interleaved files (starting at 9.2 or 9.3?) I believe.
