[GRASS-user] exporting areas to shapefiles without filling holes

Maybe use v.out.ogr -c?
I did a quick test and got the same result like you, islands within 
rivers are filled without -c. Exporting only features with a category 
fixed it for me, holes stay holes and are not filled.
