it works for me from the wxGUI in 6.5.. shrug

I don't know these modules at all but I could get it to write a
little more to the $MAPSET/groups/$GROUPNAME/$SUBGROUP/sig/$sigfile
with :

i.class ...
zoom
define region
 click click click
complete region
done
analyse region
display matches
set std dev's
display matches
done
save? [yes]
type in a description of the blob you made in the xterm
redisplay map
map window
.. create another region in you want
quit [yes]
