Hi everybody,

via v.to.db command i updated the values of a vector file with the slope
steepness of the lines. As output i got the numerical value of the steepness.

I would like to know if this numerical value is "placed" somewhere upon the
lines (i.e in the middle) composing my vector file or if it is just a number
without any coordinate.

If this slope value has got any coordinate, how can i know that ? Knowing
this coordinate would allow me to create a new point vector file / table where
the only value is the slope steepness, and then interpolating that. Let say
that it would help me to reduce the slope steepness value from a line to a
single point, hence helping me to interpolate.

(I'm wondering about the value placed in the middle because when the bar chart
of attribute value slope is displayed at vector object locations it rests
almost always in the middle of the lines...)

Thank you!

Matteo
