Hi,

Running the command at the terminal does not work because it requires d.mon to be run to select a monitor -- does this mean the d.his command can not be used with the wxpython GUI?

choose "Various raster map layers" from the toolbar in Layer Manager,
choose "Add HIS map layer". If you type the command in wxGUI command
prompt it should also work (at least in 6.4.2+).
