[mapguide-internals] RE: MapGuide 2.2 RC2

So after reading all of the notes over the last day or two I will revise the recap I did...

1586 -> Possibly one demo site. Nothing major. But is a minor fix, so why not? (no change, fix is ready)

1583 -> Already fixed.  (See Jackie's note)

1582 -> Whoops...(invalid)

1535 -> Linux issue. Nothing new to recap here, is this really a blocker? The way I see it, this only affects developers, not the enduser.

1584 -> Already fixed.  (See Trevor's note)

So 4 of the 5 issues are either fixed or invalid. The other (1535) should not stop RC3.

Hi Zac,

I have already coded a fix for 1584. The patch is attached to the defect.

Allow me to put some perspective on 1584. Without the fix, simply performing a buffer or measure operation (which creates a temporary SDF) could take you MapGuide Server down.

Bruce has already reviewed the patch and I will check it into MapGuide 2.2 and trunk today or tomorrow.

Regards,
Trevor

1584 is an improvement and shouldn't block the release.

Uv might be able to have a look into it for the next release.

End of the day, if it's important enough for you, sponsor a dev to fix it.
That's what I have done....
