[mapguide-users] WMS transparency support?

Hi there,

 - Does the WMS implementation not support transparency?

I'm sending a WMS-request to MapGuide that looks like this:
http://localhost:8008/mapguide/mapagent/mapagent.fcgi?service=WMS&request=GetMap&BBOX=-87.754670,43.692691,-87.728656,43.714721layers=Samples/Sheboygan/Layers/CityLimits&srs=EPSG:4326&width=500&height=500&Format=image/gif&transparent=true

With focus on: >>Format=image/gif&transparent=true<<
But it doesn't get transparent.

Is it not implemented or what am I doing wrong?

( Another example of a request that works perfectly:
http://www.lifemapper.org/Services/WMS/?Version=1.1.0&Request=GetMap&width=200&height=150&Bbox=-140,0,-60,60&Layers=Political%20Boundaries,Species%20Distribution%20Models,Species%20Data%20Points&Styles=&ScientificName=Erethizon%20dorsatum&SRS=EPSG:4326&format=image/gif&transparent=true
Where transparent=false or true makes a difference. )
